I was raised up caring for people beginning in my own family. At the nudging of my mother, I became an LVN in 1985. After the passing of my father, I neglected to keep my LVN license current but remained in the field of caring. I enjoy helping others accomplish their day as well as family members observing positive change in a homebound loved one. I have a long history in caring which include but not limited to, psych care, dementia, hearing and vision impairment, physical disabilities and so on. I take my work seriously and respect individuals for who they are as well as what they may be going through.

My personal experience with caregiving began with my mom, who I took care of until she passed. I realized that this job was a good fit for me because of that. I am a people person, and getting to help someone that needs it makes me feel great! I love to smile and try to make at least one person smile daily. I am a fast learner, and love a challenge.

I am a very compassionate person who loves what I do. I've been certified since 2011. After losing My Son to an unfortunate accident, it made my drive for caring, helping and loving others stronger. I mostly enjoy the reward of knowing that in my heart that I made a difference in someone else's life. I take pride in what I do and I'm not afraid of working.

I became a caregiver in 2012 when a dear friend needed help with her crippled Mother with heart issues and her Father with Alzheimer's . Little did I know the journey would change my heart and my life forever. Elderly people are the most precious lives and often pushed aside. I believe they need to be cared for at the highest level and treated as a V.I.P. They made this world we live in and deserve to be cared for and treated special until their last breath. I love making them feel loved and special. I love making them laugh. Their last year's should be their BEST years not their worst. I have an excellent track record with caring for the elderly. I humbly admit my patients have always requested my return as their permanent caregiver. I love my world as a caregiver as I am a servant at heart. I gave up a successful career in broadcasting to work full-time taking care of the elderly and I go to sleep with an inner satisfaction at the end of each day. Elderly people are my world and I am here to do for them what you cannot do because of your other obligations.

What makes me stand out as a caregiver is that I pay attention to small details and love to go above and beyond for my patients! I am very dependable, patient, and empathetic. I have always wanted to work in the medical field and believe that seniors deserve the upmost respect and confidentiality while going through any sort of health issues. I enjoy helping my patients and seeing their faces light up when I'm able to help them. I also enjoy learning about my patients and what their hobbies are. I have been a CNA since September 2002. When I initially took the course, I was doing it for the paycheck. It didn't take long to realize and understand that no amount of money could make me feel as wonderful as what providing care for the elderly did\does. I have tried to go in to other areas of employment, but my heart is in Nursing. I truly believe that this is my calling. By January 2019, I will be enrolled in the LVN program through HMH in Huntsville, TX. Some thing that I have been simply dreaming about. I have Grandparents and other people that I care deeply about. Each and every time I come in contact with a patient\resident, I care for them and treat them as I EXPECT for some one in my own family to be treated.
