I have been a caregiver 37 years. Always had a good repore with elderly growing up. Being there to help a loved one played a major roll in my job. I've worked in Assisted living facilities, Nursing homes and absolutely love it. I've used machinery like hoyer lifts, and other things. I'd prefer to stay away from that and heavy lifting. I also had my own assisted living years ago in upstate Ny.. I'm very experienced and I make it my buisness to be punctual and dependable. I take pride in my skills and I do my very best at all times. I become a caregiver when my mom got sick. I realize at that moment I will be a good aide. I love taking care of people. I really enjoy the feeling of putting a smile on someone's face. letting them know they can always count on me to be there to assist when the needs arises. I have recieved awards for my job. I have families who still keep in touch with me because of how wonderful i took care of their love ones. I have achieve so many things from being a care giver. like getting to know the different backgrounds of my clients. but my great achievements is putting a smile on their faces. When my client is satisfied with my job and has a smile on her/his face. When my client was on her dead bed and her last request was to see her angel and hug her for the last time. When she was asked who the angel is, she said is Jane. As soon as I walked in her room, my client gave me a big hug and a smile, and she said, that's my angel, take care of her.
