I feel what makes me a great caregiver is I have been on the other side of the caregiver/patient bond. I took care of my Father for 2 years before he passed away and I feel that everyone should be treated with that respect and dignity they deserve. I love being a caregiver because I want to make a difference in someone's life and this is one of the best ways to do so.

In my most recent job, I worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant who provided outstanding healthcare services to residents at Heartis of Waco Assisted Living and Memory Care. Prior to moving to the United States in 2008, I worked for more than 8 years as a surgical room nurse in a cosmetic surgery clinic in my native country of Colombia. Additionally, I possess strong attention to detail and am able to keep accurate and concise written service records. My interpersonal and communication skills are outstanding: I am fluent in Spanish and proficient in English, and I am adept at helping people to open up and to feel at ease. Patients have told me on many occasions that they feel comfortable talking to me about some of their deepest personal matters and feel confident that I will provide assistance to them without judgment. I am a very outgoing and caring person, i will always put others needs above my own and i believe that is the biggest trait that helps me be an amazing caregiver. Helping others is my passion and i feel that for me, you must establish an amazing connection to the people you are caring for, you must treat them as a human and not just a job. I worked at a CNA since I was 16 years old. I have been around the medical field. Caring for elderly and dementia patients for at least thirthere's. I have set as a volunteer with hospice friends. And for the present company that I work for. I'm a very dedicated employee that loves to take care of her patients and once they become my patients, I become very. I'm not saying I love what I'll do and I'm very good at it. How are the people interrupting me can happen and I love to move around especially once I don't have much family Overprotective and overprotective of them. I am very observant. I know how to be cautious and what I do I mean. Giving their medicines reminding them, helping them 1 day. Forget things helping them even to exercise. When I don't even have to PT. I become very hands-on with their family. So they can trust me and the client can trust me as well. I don't do this just for a paycheck. I do this because I love what I do and love giving back to people that need our help. I'm very compassionate and what I do.. Just reinsuring the family that they can count on me. And knowing that they can be at ease when they leave. Their loved ones with me is my reward I feel.

Family is most important to me and I understand how important it is to have a caring, loving person taking care of loved ones. I have cared for family members on a long term basis. One had a heart attack then a stroke and needed complete care for over 3 years. Another has cancer and needed care for over a year. I always approach my responsibilities with care and compassion, remembering to treat other as I would like to be treated.

I will be a great caregiver because I love working with the elderly I love meeting new people I love doing as asked I love socializing with the elderly and even their families.what attracted me to being a caregiver was because I have experienced taking care of my grandmother who had passed away and I have experience taking care of other clients I love working with the elderly due to the fact that I love helping I love being a helper.
