I have been involved in healthcare since the age of 15 , starting as a "candy striper" volunteer and worked in many areas of the hospital until of age to work in Emergency Medicine. I have been an active EMT/ Paramedic with both volunteer and career departments and taken part in evaluating home safety checks for residents. As a healthcare professional, I have worked in various hospitals and am very knowledgeable in diseases, aging process and treatments. I have a soft heart for our Veterans with several Veteran family members. I love people and enjoy conversing with elders that have so much to share.

Empathy and compassion is what makes me a great caregiver. I started off at 16 years old taking care of my grandpa. Making sure he take his medicine, bath, and read him versus out of his bible. As I got older I knew this is what I wanted to do I want to help the elderly patients that can no longer do much for themselves. It's essential that a caregiver feel the desire to want to help.
