Hi, My name is Margie. I am a middle age adult and grandmother of two beautiful girls. Just a little more about myself, I started caregiving when I was about 7 years old with my grandmother who was a nurturer within our community. We would attend to the elderly or the sick when needed, and my duties were to assist with ADL's, cleaning (as much as I could have done) or just getting them something to drink with their medication, inwhich were always appreciated by them. I knew then that helping someone in need would become a career. I became a Nursing Assistant in 1988 and Certified in 2004. I have mainly worked with homehealth and hospices agencies, however, these roles has taken me into skilled nursing homes as well as retirement homes. I am also experienced with working with Mental health patients and the Disability & Special Needs. I have experience with working with Alcohol & Abuse clients and I have worked with veterans. I am thoroughly comfortable with a variety of different clientele such as dementia and alzheimers clients and offers them the very best services possible. I love taking care of others of all ages. I have a great attitude. Caring for others makes me feel good about myself. Taking care of my mother, grandmother, mother-in-law grandmother-in-law until they all died made me proud of myself. When I do patient care I feel self worth it's knowing that I can help someone who can't help themselves. Being someone's companion is a Great responsibility an should never be taken lightly.

I have been a certified nursing assistant for 17 years? I am excellent at caring for others. Helping individuals whom have been injured or those who are disabled or ailing is my passion. That started my love for this kind of work. Ive always enjoyed sitting and talking with the elderly population, you can learn so much from them. Listen to their love stories, war stories, how life was different for them growing up. I've worked in nursing homes, hospitals, and have done some private duties.
