What a great caregiver means to me is to be able to show empathy and compassion toward the clients and families that I work with. By taking the time to fully understand my patient's needs and giving them the patience to work through their rehabilitation at their own pace, I show them that I care about them and that I want to do what I can to help them. I become a caregiver because I enjoy working with people. I love helping the individuals and their families to create the tailored care that is needed. One of my personally favorite achievements I'm proud of was helping one of my post-surgery clients at home with PT and OT; and enabling her to walk with a cane again instead of being restricted to a wheelchair.

Have developed and it has been my interest to not only work with elders and others but also to fellowship with them as well. I found it interesting and lovely especially when they tell those old stories and their words of wisdom great asset.

Greetings! I fell in love with caregiving while attending travel school, and working for an elderly man in his home. My passion for caregiving comes from growing up in a large family and always having people around me of all ages. I adored my grandparents, and had the pleasure of caring for all of my older siblings children before having 2 of my own. When I lost my grandparents, I decided that I wanted to spend my time around seniors, helping them to remain in their homes as long as possible.
