I am a U. S. Army veteran where my job was a combat medic. I also am a wife and mother to two little boys- one of which has special needs. I have always loved to help those who can't help themselves which is why I started doing Instacart . Something about helping those who raised us is really important to me! My goal and intention is to make life easier anyway I can and hopefully you will allow me to share the load

What makes me a great caregiver is that I love all the elderly like my own. I like taking care of my grandparents and I love hearing all there stories from the past and I love spending time with the elderly. An achievement I'm proud of is when I caught one my patients before they fell and got hurt really back

My compassion for others is one of the many things that would make me a great caregiver. My grandmother was sick for a long period of time in my life and me and my family helped assist her in many different ways which is why I'm attracted to become a caregiver. I enjoy helping others who cannot do certain things for themselves but I also would allow them to be independent in someways. I would let them know that I am here if they need me in any shape or form. A personal achievement that I'm personally proud of is earning my CNA licenses.

I am 40 years old. I have 5 children ages 23, 20, 18(twins), and 16. I have worked in the medical field approximately 15 years. I worked 5 years as a nursing assistant at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope on the med-surg/orthopedic floor. I have also worked as a private duty caregiver. My love for people is why I love this field. Being able to assist someone who is sick, helping someone who might not have anyone to help them, being able to know that I did all I could for that person is what makes me love working in the medical field. My greatest accomplishment would be me graduating from college with my bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in health care management.

I started as a CNA when I turned 19 as a divorced single mom with a special needs child and no clue how to proceed.. I couldn't attend school work and tend to a high needs child so I worked and learned everything I could about epilepsy . And as a caregiver I became interested in dementia and Alzheimer's.. the Correlation between the diseases became a fascination for me which translates into the type of care that I provide for my clients. Between growing up in a family owned business where customer service was the TOP priority anticipating a clients basic needs came easily , then learning the specific and special que's and needs of the elderly was a easy cross over that I have loved ever since.. I hold a very dear spot in my heart and mind for so many wise ones, as I privately refer to them . I have gained more knowledge from my clients then I ever did behind a desk in school and I am both privileged and blessed to have been given this calling in my life.
