I am a certified CNA with the state of Arkansas and I have been a certified nurse's aid for most of my adult life I have worked in a nursing home setting as well as some Home Health and private care with with patients that have a wide variety of needs and my involvement with daily living from total dependency to just being there for respite care. I care about helping elderly people and children that have a disability. When you love taking care of people and it's a blessing to want to do it, because some elderly people don't have family and you willing to step in and help.. God will bless you. You have to treat people the way you want to be treat.. One day we going to get old and we need the help. I have been working with Geriatric patients since 2008, after graduating high school. Going into healthcare knowing nothing about it, I began my career working in a Alzheimer's / Dementia unit. Since then I have also worked with post acute patients, those who require care after their hospital stay and are not able to return home right away. I've often been told by the families I work for that I have the patience of Job. I believe being raised by my grandparents drew my heart to the elderly. I have been a caregiver for 23 years. I treat my patients as if they were my own family. I look forward to going into work everyday. I truly enjoy being a companion and helper to those in need.
