I've worked in the medical field as a respiratory technician for 15 years, and I've been a certified caregiver for 20 years and found that in home health care is where my passion lies. The majority of my clients are elderly, and to remove them from their surroundings can often cause them too much trauma. Being in their homes with them, and assisting them in day-to-day activities, is always more comfortable and provides a much happier environment. A gentleman I took care of, who passed at 84, told me that he had never had a birthday party in his entire life. Myself, and others who loved him, gave him a wonderful birthday party and he was so happy! He passed shortly after that. Knowing I make a difference in someone's life is the best achievement!
