My name is Christina Steinmehl, I am from Laredo, Texas and I have lived in Tucson for about 15 years now. I have been a caregiver since I was 18 and have been doing it for 8 years. I got in to caregiving because I love helping others and truly enjoy working in the geriatric field. I have been a caregiver since My Mother developed Alzheimer's I knew I would be her caregiver when the time came because I have done it most of my Life You see I was a Young Mother at 16 yrs and boy did I learn young about care giving ... after she passed I took some time for my self and then decided to be a caregiver.. I think that I would be fit for this job because I love to take care of others. I enjoy being able to interact with patients and do hands on work with them. A personal achievment that I have would be that when I did my clinicals for my CNA, many of the patients loved me and said I was good at my job.

I have been working as a CNA in an SNF atmosphere for 5 years. I have also been a caregiver for my father who had Alzheimer's, my mother who was physically immobile and my husband who suffered with cancer. I enjoy helping people and am compassionate and patient. When I was out of the room I dried the tears from my eyes and that's when I instantly knew that helping people in need was my passion. My ultimate dream is to be the caregiver that makes an impact in the patient's life while they're in the hospital recovering.
