What makes me a great caregiver is I have a God given gift of compassion and the ability to solve problems. I also have a cheery personality and love to laugh and in this business it's important! Also I know how to get whatever needed... done! I started out 16 years ago taking care of my husband who had renal failure requiring a kidney transplant. When that failed he had to back on dialysis which slowly tore his body down a little at a time and could no longer even walk, shower or brush his teeth. I did everything for him and wouldn't have had it any other way! For the last 2 years I've been taking care of a lady with heart disease. I do her laundry, shop, cook, serve, clean, manage her meds and accompany her to Dr. visits.

My mother had Lupus for as long as I could remember in my childhood. I would often accompany her to doctor appointments, dialysis treatments, and when I was allowed I would stay overnight with her at the hospital (which was a lot). I would help bathe her and basically just spend time with her, we had so much fun telling stories together. When she was in the hospital I was the little mom at home shopping for meals, cleaning and taking care of the house while going to school, this was my life between the ages of 7-15 years. My mother passed away when I was 15 but I was left with amazing memories of caring for my mom in her most vulnerable time of her life, what an honor. My most relative paid-experience was being a nanny to young children in Oakland, as well as being a general personal assistant helping people to organize their personal life and business. Im a very loving capassionate person. I relized in my young adolescent years that i am codependent which is why i became a certified nurses assistant. Ive been a care giver,nurses aid and home health aid for over 10 years. I also enjoy cooking which is why i am a certified chef as well. I feel and treat my clients like they are my family.im just taking care of grandma and grandpa.

I became a caregiver because I love to help others in need. I've always adored elders and their wisdom. I'm a very trustworthy and dependable worker. I'm a free spirited lady with a lot of energy, understanding and compassion.

After my mom was diagnosed with breastfeeding cancer and I changed her badges and took care of her I felt good about my self. I love helping people that has a hard time doing things them selves, making them happy and safer. Standing behind my mom and making sure was okay by herself and being in a health environment and making sure she was fine by herself. I love doing things for others, and helping others that are in need. Being a caregiver is the only thing I know and it is my life it is my passion I love doing every part of it
