Hello! I'm currently a CNA and EMT. The main reason I became a caregiver is because I want to make a difference in someone's life. I also just enjoy working with people and taking care of and assisting those who may have difficulty with certain activities. I have worked in both a facility and home setting, but I enjoy the home setting because I am able to be one on one with my patient to make deeper connections. I pay attention to detail and I'm very patient, I understand that sometimes there may be changes in plans and that things may not always go as planned, but I can adjust to any situation and make decisions that are best for my patient. I cared for my "nana" for 12 years. She suffered from verbal dysplaxia, had several strokes, mild dementia and had three minor heart attacks. She also suffered from a broken hip, and was a constant fall risk. I was able to always know and feel what was needed by her, and performed whatever was necessary to make sure she was comfortable and felt loved. Before my nanas care and currently, I treat every client with the same level of loving care. I am very personable gay male.
