I am a very experienced healthcare worker. I have over 25 years as a professional CARE GIVER, CNA, CMA, and LPN. I love working and helping people in many capacities. It gives me great pleasure to help others. I am proud of my experience and the willingness to always learn more. I first took care of my Great Aunt when I was in high school. She was dying from cancer. I came home after school and went to her house and would spend the night. I cooked for her, helped her get ready for bed and most of her cares. I miss her greatly, but she gave me so much more than a job. She was family and we loved each other. I bring that same kindness and sense of love to those I care for now. I am looking forward to continuing this as your care giver.

I love getting to know someone on a very personal level and trying to make life alittle easier, if only for a little while. I've always wanted to work in the medical field. After getting some wisdom from some family that had been in it for many years, I decided to start with my Certification for nursing assistance first. I've done facility and private care for many years each and love the impact that I have had and equally received from my patients. I've done almost every skill that you can think of, from driving to doctors apt. to staying over night for end of care, and everything in between. One of the things Im most proud of, in regards to caregiving is becoming 'part of the family'. I started work in a nurseing home at 15 years old worked in laundry and housekeeping for a year and a half then i went to cna classes at st.athonys care center in rock island il. I worked up to a cna intil 2015 when i went private care . now im a personal care assistance / caregiver . im 46 years old i live in aledo il, i have two sons one is 26 years old and onther one is 23 years old .i enjoy being with clients i have respect, honest, truthful, encouragement, love , caring, protection, im looking for monday thru friday day shift hours .i have 34 years of experience. I decided I wanted to be a caregiver when my grandma got dementia and needed help with everything. I would check in on her every other day until my Aunt moved her out of town and put her in a nursing home. Wasn't happy with the care she was receiving and knew I'm more caring and generous than them. I'm understanding and a hard worker. I let my CNA expire but still graduated for it with good grades. I only left Barbs because she died unfortunately. I was sad and upset with the other caregivers because they did not seem to care and talked down to her. But over the last few yrs we have a house directly across the street for brain damaged residents and today I just took one some bday presents and rubbed a cramp out of anothers leg so I wanted to go back to doing it. I'm involved with bible study to better myself and just got cleared as after 2 yrs of blood clots in my brain. I enjoy helping people when I'm capable as and have always gotten along with the elderly. They make me smile with their stories and appreciation. My personal achievement I'm most proud of is that I've been sober since 2008. I worked at a bar and was easily persuaded to stay and drink and got me into trouble. I hope you can see past that because I am a good, loyal, caring, generous, hard working individual.

I became a caregiver because I love helping people. I like being able to be there when someone needs extra help with everything even the little things, and putting a smile on someone's face that may just be having a bad day. I think going back to school would be my achievement that i'm proud of most, I started the LPN program and graduated now waiting to take my boards, so I can go on and become an RN and get my Masters in Nursing so I can teach.

I am a compassionate, loyal and caring individual. I've always been drawn to care for people since I was a child. I was once cared for by an amazing nurse, and I knew then thats were my heart was and that I wanted to be able to provide that care to others.
