I became a Nursing Assistant when my grandfather was diagnosed with Cancer it was hard on my grandmother, but once I stepped in with bathing, helping with light housekeeping around the house or just letting my grandmother get out for an hour or two her load was lightened it was a blessing. I felt giving back to my grandfather for all the love and support he has given me all the years was truly from the heart, he later passed away within three months then my grandmother was diagnosed with Cancer and I stepped in for her with just myself and my little children and again it was a blessing but challenging at same time but God gave me strength through my trail and made me strong.If i can give that to everyone I come in contact with am complete because it's from the heart helping someone with a bath, dressing them for the day, of just having a conversation means a lot to so many.. I love what I do and can give another individual

The reason I decided to become a caregiver is because of my grandmother, she turned I'll around 2003 and I stepped in to help take care of her. I'm a Nurse Aide I have been a Nure Aide for 29 year and I have worked at Ingalls Memorial Hospital for 28 1/2 years I started working at what is now called Manor Care in Palos Heights. I was there 6 months and then got a job at Ingall's Memorial Hospital. I I have a phlebotomy certificate and completed the basic dysrhythmia class .I was able to care for my Grandmother who had Alzheimer's and Grandfather who had 2 strokes. Me and my Mother took care of them for about 15 years I was able to go part time and my Mom quit her job for 10 years to take care of them.I love older people and I wouldn't give up what I do for the word !!!iI also have 2 reliable vehicles a CAR and a SUV.I .I have all my Covid shots up to date .I renewed my CPR certification last month April 2022.
