My name is Tamara and I've been in the medical field for about 25 years and I love what I do. I always trying to make people day better just by a simple smile or just being there to listen. People who need care often take longer to complete simple tasks, patience and compassion can go a long way when it comes to helping anyone complete any task. I'm very dependable, detail oriented, self started and just love to make everyone feel comfortable and like family.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I am very responsible, dependable and work my best to make the one I am taking care of feel special and happy every day I care for them. What attracted me to becoming a Caregiver was that I was needing a job since I had just moved back to my hometown and filled out an application with Kelly Girls, an agency that hired people for different jobs. I was called to care for an 80 year + lady and enjoyed it. It was not what I went to College for, but continued to do both working in Administrative work and then part-time as a Caregiver. The thing that I enjoy most about being a Caregiver is the stories of those I care for. There is so much history that they have to share...even those from different parts of the Country and learning how different things were from then to now. My Mother was born in the Depression years and experienced the years of WWII, where 3 of her brothers were part of. It's the elderly who helped build the life around us and them being nurtured by their parents to give us a better tomorrow. I believe the most personal achievement I can say I am proud of is that I was taught good work ethics by my Mom, who was a farm girl. I started working at age 11 and have worked many different types of work and am a fast learner. I paid for my own College and worked at times 2 jobs to pay for my own apartment. In the Caregiving field, I have been taught some things that a Nurse is qualified for, but taught by the family of their loved one how to do certain tasks. I am very respectful of people and their property.

I am a compassionate caregiver with about 8 years of experience working in assisted living facilities and home health. I am Passionate about elder care, skilled at managing my schedule and keeping clients as active as possible. Culturally sensitive with the ability to provide both physical and emotional support to clients.

I have been a caregiver all my life - either for family or for work. I LOVE working with the elderly. I am able to help with meal preparation, baths, homemaking, escort, and respite care services. I have a great deal of compassion for the elderly. My father in law convinced me to try helping others as I do he and my mother in law. I think nursing homes are terrible places for them to spend their golden years and hospitals are even worse. If I can help anyone avoid them I like to try.

I am a great caregiver because I care about who I am caring for. I always put the resident first. I am always very happy to make their golden years as enjoyable and pleasant as possible. I am attracted to being a caregiver because when I become an elderly I want to be care for just like the care I gave to others. I enjoy making the resident happy and they are glad that I can take good care for them. I am proud of myself when the resident says you are so good to me and I love you. When the resident tells me that then I know I am good at my job.

I have been an EMT for 4 years, I am hard working and have a love for helping people. I feel that everyone needs a helping hand sometimes, some more than others. I would like to be a caregiver so I am able to help someone who needs it. I like to be able to spend time with the same patients to be able to build that bond and the trust needed to truly get the best experience out of having a caregiver. Being able to be the person someone leans on is a great feeling and having the same caregiver everyday for some people is a relief especially to someone who has not needed a caregiver until recently. It can be stressful to someone who is used to being able to care for themselves and who now is in need of additional help as well as it can be stressful for their family. I like to be able to give piece of mind to patients and their families knowing they don't need to worry about something happening to their loved one while they continue with their busy schedules working and caring for their families as well

I have been a caregiver for 11 years. I enjoy caring for people. I enjoy being able to assist those who are not able to care for themselves, so that they can live a normal life. My greatest achievement is that I get to know my patients in a deeper level. Hello, my name is Jane Annette Blevins. Care has become a large part of who I am. Whether helping someone in continuing to live as independently as possible, assisting the challenges of disability, or comforting pain and fear toward end of life, caregiving gives back more than I could have imagined. My journey into this career path began within my family in 1996, three loved ones now gone. The greatest experience of my life, outside of a beautiful daughter, was having the honor of helping those I loved. After which, I met and cared for incredible people, graced by being of part of their lives, and worked alongside those that remain good friends.
