What attracted me to caregiving was taking care of my paralyzed great aunt at 16 & feeling like I was finally useful, like I finally had a purpose... What makes me a good caregiver is empathy and a caring heart. What attracted me to caregiving was a need for a compassionate caregiver for a family member of my own and what a difference it made in a difficult situation. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping people/ families it connects me to others and their gratitude is so rewarding it lets me know I'm doing the right thing. My name is Lindsay I've been a caregiver for over 2 years I've worked in many nursing homes and even hospitals. The love for caregiving has always been a passion of mine I love to make people smile and help where its a bit harder. I always make great food for my clients and I also do arts and crafts that I supply myself! My great grandma has many health conditions and I help here often. I also have a niece and nephew with autism who I do my own therapy with that helps them both tremendously.
