Hello, I'm Heather. I became a caregiver because I believe it is my Destiny. My grandmother was 80yrs old when she went into a diabetic COMA, (we didn't know that she was diabetic) we (the family members) were all called in to say our goodbyes,because after 2wks her heart was failing . I got there last to say my goodbye, and as soon as I started speaking to her, "my grandmother awoked" and started speaking to me, she called me by my name right away. I still remember the profound impact it had on me,it activated something within me,i vowed i would always take care of my grandmother to the best of my ability .The Dr. Wanted my Grandmother to be placed in a nursing HOME but she refused, so the Dr. suggested we trained to take care of her at home. From then on I knew that I was called to do this work,helping others like my Grandmother. We all became nurses because we loved and respected her so much, my Grandmother passed 8yrs later,but we all made sure that it was the most loving, respectful, most dignified time before she passed. Needless to say when she passed, we were all surrounding her with all our love and gratitudes. She died with a BIG smile on her face, I always remember that smile and in my work I aim to inspire all my patients to smile .My Grandmother's illness became a blessing for my family and me,I would love the opportunity to assist and share my blessing with your family in the most caring, compsssionate and loving manner. I enjoy taking care of individuals out of love and integrity. I have worked with individual's with brain injuries, hospice care, companionship Alzheimer's or dementia. As a young adult all I knew was my grandmother. She taught me everything I knew until she got sick. Her body started to break down and I had to take care of her. I prepared her meals, breakfast and dinner and gave her showers also dressed her. She got really bad and she was forced into a nursing home because nobody was able to give her the proper care she needed. She passed away in the nursing home. I felt nothing but guilt that I didn't have the skills to take care of her so she could be comfortable at her own home. So I made an effort to be the best CNA for others on this planet. So their families can get proper care in the comfort of their homes.

One of my Personal Achievement that I am so proud of being a caregiver to my client I always bring a warm and friendly personality to each client.and I know and understand what it's like to need help from another person because of what I have been thur in my pass I am not just a caregiver I used to be a client also.

Hi My name is Elexus Hill . I started working in the healthcare field in 2016 after my father passed away. I knew my passion was to help others. I first became a Certified Nurse Assistant , and then I went back to school to gain experience to become a Registered Nurse . My journey to finishing school has had its ups and downs due to family deaths. I have a very strong background in the healthcare field , I have previously worked in the ICU unit at a hospital , long term care facilities as well as in the home setting.

I became a caregiver because I enjoy caring for people. I like seeing people progress in their state of health to increased vitality. I'm happy to have cared for a cerebral palsy child from the age of 6 to the age of 17 and seeing him grow and become a man. I meet challenges as they come with calm composure and am willing to go the extra mile for my clients. I work beyond the call of duty to ensure that my clients are comfortable and at peace with the care I give.

I became caregiver because I got tired of hearing about how some caregivers treated their patients and because my mother was sick and I took care of her until she passed away. I would give the same care and concern as if they were a part of my family. I like being able to help others in a way that they are not able to take care of themselves. I have a passion for taking care of people because one day I may be in their shoes and I would want someone to take care of me in the same way. One of my personal achievements I am proud is taking care of my mom when she needed me the most. I attend church mostly every Sunday and I volunteer to facilitate groups for people who are just coming out of a long term rehabilitation center for drugs and alcohol. I have three kids and I work also at Macy's. I am a hard worker and a quick learner. I have experience as a Nurse's Aid . I recently graduated from Branford Hall Career Institute as a Registered Medical Assistant.
