I have been a private duty caregiver for 20+ years and can't think of anything I would rather do. I enjoy getting to know my patients and I find it very fulfilling to care for others that can no longer live alone. Over the years I have met some of the most wonderful people and their family's that entrust me with the care of their loved ones. We have established relationships that will last forever. I've worked side by side with hospice/Visiting Physicians in a home setting where my responsibilities include administering medications, PT/OT post surgeries, bathing, shopping and house keeping. I have several references and look forward to caring for my next PT . Thank you for the consideration. Sherrie Craft

I have always wanted to commit myself to doing something meaningful in my career and I felt that becoming a CNA wold provide that while I was in school for my bachelors and next for my masters in PA studies. To be spending my days helping sick people to feel well, to help educate people in how best to take care of themselves is something that has always spoken to me. Working as a CNA has been a great opportunity because it has confirmed in my mind what I had been anticipating, which is how much I look forward to working with patients. It has allowed me to be the positive presence that I want to be in people's lives. Leaving work every day knowing I made a difference not only in someone's life but in their well-being is the most rewarding thing that I have ever done. Not only do I enjoy it because of the positive impact it allows me to make in their daily lives but also because of the way they impact me. Caring for them forces me to figure out the best way to help people feel better. Sometimes that means really learning to understand the effects of behavioral or cognitive disorders, and sometimes that means helping people cope with the pain, fear and anxiety that medical challenges can bring. It is challenging but deeply meaningful to care for patients because I get to develop a deeper understanding of how to improve the quality of life to people who rely on me and look to me for relief. My greatest personality traits and expertise that has helped me become a great caregiver is my constant open mindedness to grow and learn to become the best version of myself. My ability to bring a positive warm energy to work has allowed me to create a comfortable and safe environment for my patients. I am also a very driven and dedicated person who will not walk away from a problem until it is solved or keep working until I fulfill my dreams. My greatest personal achievement would be graduating with my bachelors in four years at the age of 22.
Skills & Certifications: Alzheimer's Disease, Arthritis, Cancer Recovery, Diabetes, Depression, Dementia, COPD, Cardiovascular Disorders, Hearing Disorders, Vision and Eye Disorders, Skin Disorders, Stroke, Respiratory Disorders, Parkinson's Disease, Post Surgery Recovery, Neurological Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Palliative Care, Orthopedic Care, Blood Disorders, Renal and Urological Disorders, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Hospice Care

I truly enjoy being a caregiver because it allows me to give a part of myself to someone and hopefully brighten their day, even something as simple as a smile. I treasure each client I've been able to work with as I have learned so much from their experiences. My most memorable client and I were able to bond when he discovered that I served in the military. He then was able to share his experience as a POW in WWII with me. I feel that each person has something to offer, sometimes it simply takes someone having the time to sit and hear what they need to communicate through words, song, gesture, facial expression, etc. Allowing someone to still feel needed and of worth is of utmost importance.

I am a low fat raw vegan ultrarunner who enjoys running hundred mile races in beautiful remote places. I am compassionate, down to earth, positive and thankful. I so enjoy helping peopIe one on one to meet their daily and lifetime goals. I also love animals and am happy to care for them as well. I am passionate about diet and exercise, natural cleaning methods, health education, etc., but am not pushy at all and respect everyone's choices and meet people at their comfort level. I managed to get my last client off of four of her medications and helped her loose 25 lbs of unwanted weight with diet and exercise. I love learning new things, pay close attention to detail, and am open minded. The other lady I cared for had a very particular way of having me move her to and from wheel chair and in aiding in dressing. She said I did the best of any caregiver she ever had in helping her move about without causing her pain or anxiety. I became very close to her and she was like family. It is very rewarding to help people and am honored to be considered.

Hello! My name is Hailey and I love what I do. I originally became a caregiver to get experience and a better understanding of what I'd be doing when I finished nursing school. I have now been caregiving for 3 years and wouldn't trade it for anything. Helping and taking care of people is what I love to do. I have worked in several work settings from at home caregiving to the hospital and have vast medical knowledge.
