Hello! My name is Erika, sociable, responsible, and most importantly caring. I want to be a caregiver because I love taking care of others, and medicine is what I want to pursue. Though I enjoy the science and learning that goes along my journey, the reason I wake up every morning for this type of work is the people I get to directly interact with. I'm most proud of my experience making connections with the elderly in my nursing homes experiences, but also of my academic progress and leadership progress that I am taking with it.

My mother says I've been mending broken wings and bringing home strays since I could walk.
