I simply became a caregiver because I like to help! I feel rewarded at my job if my client s are taken care of and prospering.

I've been a CNA for 20 year's.I love doing what I do,i so get Senior's and get along very well with them.I really owe it all to my Parent's who instilled in me to alway's Respect your elder's.My father was really proud of me for being in this line of work.I did a lot for him up until he passed{2012}.I have received award's in Dementia/Alzheimer care,outstanding caregiver and employee of the month.I have learned a lot in my 20 year's and still learning.My client's show me every day how blessed i'am.

I have always enjoyed caring for people. It is the biggest reason I became a nurse. I have been working and continue to work in an acute care setting where I have gained alot of experience and expanded my skills with high acuity patients. On my unit we can take any adult patient but the majority of the patients we receive are geriatric. I really enjoy taking care of the elderly population. I am very easy going and understanding . I think I bring a calming presence to most patients especially in times they feel most vulnerable.

Being able to make someone's life better easier and more fun in return makes me beyond happy What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? Ive always had a passion and caring for others is MY passion. I love learning client personality and learning stories about them and their lives! What is a personal achievement you are proud of? I have a beautiful baby boy who ive been home with for over a year. Hes is the best thing ive done in my entire life.

I have been a caregiver for the past 7years I have worked in Facilities and private duty. I have taken care of a variety of patients and I have had lots of training though out my career. I love what I do being able to help put the families mind at ease and making my patients feel comfortable. I have been taking care of people young and old all of my life, I always deal with people with love and respect especially our elders because they took care of us now it is time for us to take care of them with compassion empathy and love

I have been a caregiver for 25yrs and more. I love my job, helping and caring for others. Very caring, compassion, I love to just to see the smiles. I have work at nursing working with all type of people. Taking care of my on parents before they passed away. My mother had dementia and my father cancer. I also work at the Kalamazoo Psychiatric hospital for 11yrs. I have worked with Senior Services. Then went to Grand Rapids and worked with the Veterans Now working at Medilodge of Kalamazoo been there for the last 2yrs.

I'm a meticulous compassionate person who loves to care for people. I have a desire to help others, especially in the medical field and want to make the world a better place for those that need help. I'm thankful that I've been able to help both my parents in their needs for recovery and daily living. I know that as my mother's illness progresses her care will become more time consuming, but as of now, I want to keep my skills up by helping others.

I have always wanted to commit myself to doing something meaningful in my career and I felt that becoming a CNA wold provide that while I was in school for my bachelors and next for my masters in PA studies. To be spending my days helping sick people to feel well, to help educate people in how best to take care of themselves is something that has always spoken to me. Working as a CNA has been a great opportunity because it has confirmed in my mind what I had been anticipating, which is how much I look forward to working with patients. It has allowed me to be the positive presence that I want to be in people's lives. Leaving work every day knowing I made a difference not only in someone's life but in their well-being is the most rewarding thing that I have ever done. Not only do I enjoy it because of the positive impact it allows me to make in their daily lives but also because of the way they impact me. Caring for them forces me to figure out the best way to help people feel better. Sometimes that means really learning to understand the effects of behavioral or cognitive disorders, and sometimes that means helping people cope with the pain, fear and anxiety that medical challenges can bring. It is challenging but deeply meaningful to care for patients because I get to develop a deeper understanding of how to improve the quality of life to people who rely on me and look to me for relief. My greatest personality traits and expertise that has helped me become a great caregiver is my constant open mindedness to grow and learn to become the best version of myself. My ability to bring a positive warm energy to work has allowed me to create a comfortable and safe environment for my patients. I am also a very driven and dedicated person who will not walk away from a problem until it is solved or keep working until I fulfill my dreams. My greatest personal achievement would be graduating with my bachelors in four years at the age of 22.

I am a very patient person, I have always enjoyed spending time with the elderly. After caring for my mother proir to her passimg, I felt that care giving for the elderly, or any person in need, was my calling. I pride myself in great organizational skills. I am a good cook and a good housekeeper. When I can bring joy to those in need of companionshipit fills my heart with joy. I have been a caregiver for a year in Kalamazoo, MI, and I am hoping to continue doing so as I venture out to Denver, CO. I have specialized training in working with patients with brain and spinal cord injuries, including those who are paraplegic or quadriplegic.
