I am a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) with the State of Michigan. I received Basic Life Support certification in CPR and AED with the American Heart Association. I graduated from Dorsey Emergency Medical Academy at the top of my class. I am a caring person by nature and I enjoy assisting individuals to enjoy as independent of a lifestyle as they are willing and able. I take great pride in providing quality care, companionship and dignity to each individual according to their needs. I am trained to assist or provide the activities of daily living, as well as being trained in restorative care. I am meticulous and detail oriented and compassion comes easily to me. My name is Amber, I live in Midland with my husband and our dogs! I moved to Midland around 4 years ago and I fell in love with the area. One of my favorite things about being a caregiver is that I am helping someone, in some way. Whether this be cleaning, cooking, helping with personal care or just having a friendly conversation, I know that I am needed and making a difference. I was drawn to caregiving when I saw all of the help our family received for my grandmother. I realized that I was missing something in life, and chose to become a caregiver myself.

Hi! I have been a caregiver for over 20 years. I have current First Aid and CPR. I have worked with a variety of different people and am quite familiar with a variety of medical equipment. I currently manage an adult foster care home and I am looking to help people stay in their own homes. I know that nothing is more important than being at home with your family and friends!

I have over 20 years experience in the healthcare field. I have worked with all types of patients. I have colostomy, uriostomy, trach care, g-tube feeds, straight cathing. I am patient, kind and compassionate. I have worked extensively with alzheimer's and dementia patients. I know the key is to keep their mind sharp, however that happens. Puzzles, games, or just talking about memories that keep them thinking. I like to think outside the box and get the job done. I have a great sense of humor and my clients feel at ease with me. I treat them as if they were my mom, dad, grandma, grandpa etc.

I've been assisting seniors for as long as I can remember, I began as a volunteer when I was 12 years old, I've held various positions in the Healthcare industry, Activity Director, Social Work, Administrator, but I always find myself pulled back to the hands on care, to me there isn't a more rewarding career.

I was a CNA at a long term care facility. I also worked in a Alzheimer's and dementia unit. I have great empathy and compassion for the elderly. They can teach us so much! I'm proud of being a helpful hand when someone needs it. I had a man who was suffering from dementia and a septic toe that ultimately took his life... but I would sing to him and it would calm him down. He passed in my arms. I'll never forget him. I'm proud that was able to bring a little amount of joy into his world while he was experiencing his worst.

My caring heart for the elderly is why I became a caregiver. I love my job and caring for others. I'm very patience, caring, dependable. I'm empathetic and compassionate, respectful, and understanding. My 10 plus years working with the elderly makes me a great fit. I have always since a little girl knew I wanted to work with the elderly, because of my relationship with my grandmother and also just helping the older people in my neighborhood if it was checking their mail, water the plants, taking the trash out and must importantly just a listing ear. I have FIRST AIDE & CPR certification and I'm currently a med passer at my job.

I love taking care of the elderly. I love being able to help them and make their day better. I am engaged with two loving puppies. I am a very loving and out going person. I love to stay busy and be outside.

Priding myself apon three basic principles; Always be honest, (it is the best policy,) treat others as you want to be treated,(with compassion and understanding,) and always respect other people's wishes, choices, and dignity, ( little respect goes a long way). Taking care of others is such a rewarding career choice. Over the years I've often said I didn't decide to be a caregiver I was born to be one! It is part of me and just who I am. My mother says I've been mending broken wings and bringing home strays since I could walk. I am a highly skilled Certified Nurse Aide with excellent references seeking a position in which i can utilize my skills and experience. Having skills in self direction as well as the ability to be self reflective coupled with strong values and morals I feel sets my quality of care above the rest.
