I am a 53 year old female that has been in Healthcare for 20+ years. I am a certified nursing assistant. I truly enjoy working with people and this is definitely a passion of mine. I am married to a wonderful man and together we have raised two amazing children who are now young adults on their own. I lost my job of 8 years recently due to the company down sizing. I want to get back into working with the elderly and giving them caring and compassionate companionship.

I know this sounds lame, but I always knew I wanted to be a nurse. I love the rewarding feeling I get from giving. Now, when I was a kid that was another story. I carried all of my toys in a brown grocery bag and you would have to fight me to get me to share! I love listening and learning from others. I feel that this has only improved my caregiving skills. I have worked with all ages, races, religions, disabilities and I treat each person the same. We all deserve dignity and respect regardless of our situation. I'm kind, but love to laugh and have a good time. Most importantly I know how to act appropriate for the situation. I believe an achievement that I can truly be proud of everyday is that I have the ability to take life as it comes and always put things into perspective. I hold my family close to my heart. My passion for healthcare began about the age of five. For many years my dream career was to become a doctor. As I aged and researched into a career as a doctor, I realized that medical school was far too expensive for my financial situation. Regardless, of this financial set back, I knew that healthcare was the career field I wanted to pursue. I have always had a caring, loving, nurturing, helpful, compassionate, caregiver disposition and character. The greatest personal reward for me is the joy I feel at the end of each day knowing I have done something to make someones day happier, healthier, and more productive. I find joy in seeing others happy, healthy, and successful.
