Hi! My name is Addison. I am a recent graduate of App State in Exercise Science. Previously, I worked for another caregiving company. Utilizing both my experience and the components of my degree, I am able to provide compassionate and detail oriented care. I have been a certified nurse assistant for almost 8 years and I love it. I never dread work and I always find myself smiling. I love caring for people and having them look at me with trust. I have 2 beautiful children who count on only me and they are also proud of what I do.

I have been a care provider for 27 years. I have plenty of experience in many areas of caregiving.

I have been in the medical field for almost 14 years. Healthcare is my passion. My grandmother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when I was 8 years old. Everyday that I was with her, I done my best to take care of her and get her anything that she needed. She told me that I was her little nurse, and that stuck in my mind. I knew from that moment on that I wanted to be in healthcare. I enjoy taking care of people, getting to know them and doing my best to provide the care that is needed. A personal achievement that makes me most proud would be doing the heimlich maneuver on a choking Vietnam vet successfully. A couple years later his diabetes and edema got worse and he was not expected to make it much longer. I stayed with the family and done my best to make him and his family comfortable during this time and gave them as much support that I could.

I am a Physical Therapist who is changing the direction of my career. I want move outside of my PT career but continue to develop relationships with my clients and help them maximize their quality of life by providing the care they need. I have worked with most medical issues, including dementia, for many years in every setting, from hospital to skilled nursing to Homecare and have helped with toileting, feeding and all aspects of mobility. I love to have fun and find that humor and compassion make people enjoy being with me and get the most out of our time together. And I have to mention- I am a huge animal lover so any pet in the home is a bonus to me! I look forward to meeting you and providing your loved one with safe, loving and dependable care.

I have always had a love for our Senior Citizens since I was young, my Grandma worked at Bristol Nursing Home for 34 years, she would take me to pass out treats to the Residents, from then on I knew I would work with them. It is the best feeling to know that you are helping someone have a better quality of life even if it is just with you presence or helping them shower or with a meal or simply having a chat with them, after all its much better to give than to recieve.

I became a caregiver because I like to help people. I like the good feeling I get knowing I am helping someone. I am proud that I am a caring person and can help people of all ages.I am proud that I have helped people to be able to do things they didnt think they could do. I am a CNA1. I have been doing this for 10 years and I love doing it. I have worked with pediatrics, alzheimer patients, stroke patients, cerebral palsey, elderly,People with disabilities.
