Ever since freshman year in high school, I have always wanted to do something that related to the medical field. First it was orthopedics and then pharmacy. I did not know that my mind would change to care giver until my junior year. I took a health science technology class starting my junior year. It was a two year class. Junior year was more focused on anatomy and physiology and Senior year we got to decide which path we wanted to go down. I chose the LNA path. I have always wanted to help people and going towards this path seemed like a sure-fire way to get there. I loved doing my clinicals at the two nursing homes near my school. It was an amazing experience. Knowing that I can help someone get through their day a little easier meant the world to me. Almost six years after graduating high school, I am still doing what I love and taking care of the people that need it the most.

I started out caregiving while caring for my grandmother about 15 years ago. The time we spent together was a wonderful bonding experience and I wanted to continue with that feeling of accomplishment I get when helping someone and knowing I am making a positive difference in their lives.

Becoming a Caregiver was out of necessity, to fulfill one woman's simple request of not being placed into a nursing home. She had had a challenging childhood: daily nourishment often was tea and bread; coats were used as blankets during the evening. She persevered during her marriage, raising a brood of children while being the dutiful wife. So, when called upon, it was an opportunity to give back. I have found that I have great resolve, have not floundered in my integrity, and have given care with compassion and kindness. In doing so, I have been greatly rewarded.

I am deeply committed to treating all of my clients and families with dignity and respect. My goal is to win the trust , and help alleviate any embarrassment or anxiety when needing assistance with bathing, toileting, grooming, or other personal care. I strive to make a difference in the lives of my clients. I am very out going, friendly, honest , and dependable.

I work full time at a hospital but I am searching for a more 1:1, personable position. I knew I was meant to be a nurse since I was a young girl learning about Florence Nightingale. My mother is a nurse also and has inspired me and been my support throughout my schooling and career. I enjoy taking care of people and building a relationship with them as well as seeing them heal. I see the bigger picture, meaning taking care of the whole person (physically, emotionally, spiritually). I use my skills and knowledge to tailor to each person individually.

I love meeting new people. When my grandmother was ill I enjoyed being her caregiver. I went to get my LNA license and started in long term care homes in NH. I enjoy watching my patients smile . 1.) I became a caregiver because at a young age my grandmother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. I watched her battle through and eventually she lost the war. On top of the cancer my nana also had a brain tumor, epilepsy, and high blood pressure that needed to be monitored daily. Helping her through her battle and watching her go through her ups and downs gave me the drive I needed to pursue a career in the health field. 2.) What I like mainly about being a caregiver is being able to help others and having success stories. Being able to help others and seeing them be happy even if its for a short period of time makes it well worth it. 3.) A personal achievement that i am proud of is applying and being accepted into a Medical Assistant program. I am proud that not only did I finish the program but i graduated with honors. 4.) Something about myself: I love what I do. The career that I have chosen for myself fulfills me in ways that are indescribable. I love people, I love being able to strike up a conversation about anything to anyone. I am a very family oriented person, my mom has 2 other sisters and my father is 1 of 10 children so family is very important to me. I am the oldest of 3 and have a half sister that is 4. My youngest brother also just had a baby so I have a 9 month old nephew that I couldn't picture life without. I have been involved in health care for roughly ten years now and truly love helping people and making a difference in their day. I recently returned back to school an have 2 semesters left before gaining my RN degree in nursing. I am originally from new york and i am currently seeking employment in new hampshire with an active LNA license.
