I am a college student currently studying speech pathology at Umass Amherst. I have been a caregiver for the past 6 years, and I have loved every moment of it! Being a young adult I enjoy listening to my elders advice and growing as a person and individual. I am very personable, outgoing, and friendly, and I hope to meet you soon! Marina

1-Reason I became a caregiver, love providing home care giving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. 2-I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses. I also try to bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a client’s day, that means a lot to me. It is important to laugh so achieving a smile on their face. 3- I am a single parent and also raised 2 children with medical needs, I learn to balance out work and home to achieve the best work possible in all areas.

I have been taking care of people for over 20 years .I have CNA MAP CPR /First Aide, I have also done lot of courses and training regarding my work included is Alzheimer's, people with learning disabilities fall prevention and many more. I take care of people in their own homes ,doing errands medical appointments and light house work.im reliable ,honest, dependable handworker with good communication skills

I enjoy having a positive impact and being able to help people. I'm proud of making a change of career to LNA after two degrees and a life in sales and management. Ever since freshman year in high school, I have always wanted to do something that related to the medical field. First it was orthopedics and then pharmacy. I did not know that my mind would change to care giver until my junior year. I took a health science technology class starting my junior year. It was a two year class. Junior year was more focused on anatomy and physiology and Senior year we got to decide which path we wanted to go down. I chose the LNA path. I have always wanted to help people and going towards this path seemed like a sure-fire way to get there. I loved doing my clinicals at the two nursing homes near my school. It was an amazing experience. Knowing that I can help someone get through their day a little easier meant the world to me. Almost six years after graduating high school, I am still doing what I love and taking care of the people that need it the most.

I started out caregiving while caring for my grandmother about 15 years ago. The time we spent together was a wonderful bonding experience and I wanted to continue with that feeling of accomplishment I get when helping someone and knowing I am making a positive difference in their lives.
