Ever since freshman year in high school, I have always wanted to do something that related to the medical field. First it was orthopedics and then pharmacy. I did not know that my mind would change to care giver until my junior year. I took a health science technology class starting my junior year. It was a two year class. Junior year was more focused on anatomy and physiology and Senior year we got to decide which path we wanted to go down. I chose the LNA path. I have always wanted to help people and going towards this path seemed like a sure-fire way to get there. I loved doing my clinicals at the two nursing homes near my school. It was an amazing experience. Knowing that I can help someone get through their day a little easier meant the world to me. Almost six years after graduating high school, I am still doing what I love and taking care of the people that need it the most.

I started out caregiving while caring for my grandmother about 15 years ago. The time we spent together was a wonderful bonding experience and I wanted to continue with that feeling of accomplishment I get when helping someone and knowing I am making a positive difference in their lives.

I once lived near an elderly housing complex and saw the need of elderly who who were badly in need of help and could not afford. I began volunteering and never stop. I love helping people. I am very proud that was able to save the life of an elderly who was not aware that she had developed early stage cancer. I took her to MGH and the cancer institute for testing. She was quickly diagnosed and began treatment on that very day. She is still in remission as we speak. I am a reliable, dedicated, compassionate, loving, hard working, and a very caring individual and I love helping people.
