I have many years of caregiver experience working with the elderly population and individuals with developmental disabilities. I enjoy the social aspect of being a caregiver as well as assisting with doing ADLS and other tasks to ensure recipients have a better quality of life. A personal achievement I am proud of is my years of work experience in human services and the medical field along with the opportunity of going to college and graduating.

what makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I put my whole heart and soul into what I do. I treat my patients like family, not like a job. I first started caregiving at the age of 16. My mother was a caregiver and I helped her. I knew then that this is what I wanted to do. I love being a caregiver because if I can give my best for them and care is always from my heart. All of my jobs have been with my clients to end of life care with Hospice involved. Knowing that someone is with them through it all . I believe my best care is with dementia and Alzheimer's I have a big interest in this and love working and taking care of them.

I am a patient and understanding person and love to help people sick or not I have been a cna for20years and before that took care of my father in law for 7 years he had throat cancer I love what I do iam an excellent caregiver because its in my heart. I love this line of work because im a people person and I'll treat everyone as I would want to be treated or as i would want someone to treat my parents.

I became a caregiver mostly because when I was a younger girl, I was raised by my god mother who was the absolute best person I've ever met. Unfortunately she became very ill and even though I was young I did everything I could to help, to care for her, and to make sure she knew she was loved. When she passed away in 2005 I started working in a senior living center where I found the love of helping others like I did when I cared for my mom. I knew it was what I wanted to do. I love being a caregiver because when I see the expression on others faces after helping them, and making their lives as easy a possible it honestly puts a smile on my face and warmth in my heart. Looking back now I am extremely proud of starting out years ago and thinking about all the things I've done, the people I have helped, and the experience I have gained. A little about me.. I am a registered nurse looking for part time work as I work on finishing my bachelors degree. I am interested in working with all populations.

I decided to become a caregiver because growing up my grandmother had early onset Alzheimer's, I watched how her caregivers supported her but our family as well. I started working at an assisted living facility during college and then transitioned into home care. I feel like often times when being a caregiver you are meeting someone at a challenging point in their life. It takes understanding, patience, kindness. I enjoy being part of a team that can make the transition of needing care not only easier on the families but as easy as possible for the person needing care.
