About me: My name is Nichole Dabney. I go by Nicky. I have been a service provider and care taker for over 6 years now. I have been liscened Independent Provider with the Department of Developmental Disabilities for over 6 years now. In addition to that, I also teach high school. This is my 2nd year of teaching at Liberty High School. When you love what you do it's not considered work. I got into this field after spending many years of caring for my Mother who was also wheel chair bound. It only seemed right to contine down this path even after she passed on. I think this is something that comes naturally to me. I wear many hats, but Mom is by far my favorite job of them all. I have two beautiful children whom I Love dearly and they are my number one supporters and fans. I am grateful for the opportunity to work in my gifts. I believe that everything and everyone has purpose. Mines is to be a servant to God's people.

I have been a caregiver over 20 years (long term, rehab, old timers unit patients, and etc). I care about the elderly and people that need help and cannot help themselves. Having parents that died in their 60's from cancer it was nice having the experience to be able to take care of them from their homes. Have done homecare over 5 years and really enjoyed working with the family's.

Hello, My name Maddie I am very flexible, caring, and outgoing. I listen very well to others, I love to do activities or just relax. I became a caregiver due to my own great grandpa becoming ill. My mother put her life on hold and stepped in to take care of him, I helped her a lot and it made me realize how much I'd love to care for other loved ones as well. I enjoy getting to know people and their past and their personal lives. I am personally proud of myself for graduating highschool and getting my state tested nursing assistant license and trying to further my career in the heath field.

I have been a caregiver since I was 16 years old and couldn't picture doing anything else with my life. Most of my experiance is in a nursing home setting with alzhimers dementia, but I have done it all. Given the choice I'd choose to work with alzhimers dementia or individuals with developmental disabilities. I put my whole heart into my work and enjoy every minute of it.

My assignment included a unit consisting of mostly bed ridden and wheel chair confined clients. Due to the decreased level of physical movement and activity most of the clients suffered from pressure ulcers, skin tears and wounds as a result of decreased circulation. This particular unit when assessed was never given above a C- grade within the excellence in level of care scoring system. Within a 3 month time period beneath my charge this same unit received an A+ pinning within the excellence in level of care scoring system. I am most proud to be a Nurse when both my client(s) and their families are safe, well cared for and happy with my care delivery!
