I'm a great caregiver because im a compassionate person and I love what I do. I wanted to be a caregiver because I love taking care if sick people and people with challenges. Something I enjoy most about being a caregiver is when I interact with the clients.

I became a a Registered Nurse (Acute Nurse) because people's health is my concern. Assist clients who needs my services to perform their daily activity, Assessment of the patient and reporting changes to the appropriate health team. I am proud of myself being able to assist individuals who need my assistance, and also able to redirect them in a safe way according to what they are experiencing. I am smart, assertive and intelligent lady who takes initiate within my job description. I am productive with any work or task given. I complete my work effectively. I am welcoming.

Actually, I am a Registered Nurse. Characteristics: dependable, honest, independent, optimistic, hard-working, encouraging, a problem solver, a good listener and communicator. I became interested in health care when I was 10 years old and in the hospital over Christmas having had an emergency appendectomy. My mom worked for a doctor (earning $1 an hour) and was always telling us about interesting cases and teaching us strange sounding medical terminology. Most of my nursing career was in a Medical Intensive Care Unit at Ohio State University Medical Center. After that exciting career, I started working in Home Health in 2008. I enjoy working 1 on 1 with my clients, offering encouragement, seeing that they are receiving proper care, and hearing their life stories.

I like to take care of a Elderly people because I had patient and I'm a very good caregiver I've been doing this work for 15 years are used to live in Colorado and I've been doing days from Colorado to Ohio now so I can do anything patient, dementia patient , patientI'm good at it.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I'm sympathetic..compassionate..always on time if not early..always give 110 percent in the care I provide...I have been an stna for 17 years

I became a caregiver because my mother was a nurse. She did home health care for years and she always talked about how much she loved it. When I started into this field it was in hospice care and I loved it. I loved being there with families and helping them through the very difficult times. I always spent more time than required so I could ensure that things were the best they could be considering the situation. I tend to be a fairly quite person at first but become chattery once I feel comfortable. I have always been that way but I have become better with age. I love helping people. And spending time just talking if that's all they would like.

Working as a caregiver has given me opportunity to give back and help those who need assistance,feels good to know that I'm helping and providing a useful service. I have a learned a lot from my clients, and I have been working with individuals with Alzheimer's and Dementia.Very good in communicate with clients, I am compassionate and dependable. I do provide errands, light housekeeping, dressing ,bathing,medication management, helping with doctor appointment ,and I have my own transportation for any needs. I have references upon request.

For me, being a caregiver isn't just a career. It's my calling in life. I feel as though it's what I was put here to do. My very first job at age 18 was as a caregiver for a lady with MS. I cared for her as a live in for nearly three years with one day off weekly. I then moved to direct care for disabled individuals and have accumulated several years experience. I am certified in first aid/ CPR, medication administration, insulin trained, and have a wide path of experience to fall back on. I was also caregiver for my mother for five years until she passed from ALZ. I am currently attending college studying Human and Social Services to better provide for those I work with and for. I believe that being a caregiver requires a special individual, just as special as those I care for. I have always felt that the individuals I have met and worked with have each been a blessing in their own way and I am the lucky one for having them in my heart and life. I view my clients as family, nothing less. I am dedicated, sincere, patient, full of good humor, not easily upset, and my greatest joy is making others happy. That's the biggest benefit of all. Hello, and welcome to my page. :) I started caregiving in 2014 for handicapped students in my dorm building. At first, it was to make some extra cash since being a college student took up most of my time. It quickly turned into a passion. I've adored every person that I've had the opportunity to work with. I've worked for Wright State University office of disability services, a Nursing home and memory care unit in the nursing home, and in home care. I have experience with transferring, lifting, bathing, changing sheets, memory care, etc. I have completed care for the elder adult classes, as well as manual vital courses (blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate) and I am CPR Certified through the America heart association.
