(2) Why did I become a caregiver: When i was in my early twenties I had got a job in activities in a Nursing Facility and realized this was my passion. Then became a Cna/ Gna. I enjoy caring for others. (3) What do I like about being a caregiver: I like being a caregiver because it makes me feel good to know that I'm having a positive impact caring for someone .

I am the bubbly personality that loves to interact with whoever I provide services for. I do not play in my cell phone. I have been a CNA for almost 16 years and I am slowly on my way to achieving my associates for RN. I have two adorable dogs and I am fostering another puppy at the moment. I love animals and gardening. I do not have children. My transportation is reliable. I love to care for people, as the reward is in itself. I am a great caregiver because I treat my clients male, or female, as if he, or she, are one of my family members. No there's no limits to my care, I will always go above and beyond. I've changed a lot of live, I also have saved lives, with in the past fourteen years I've been in this field. I became a caregiver because of several family members are in the same field, my mom is an registered nurse, going on 35 years, my grandmother was a LPN, and my aunts are CNA. Hi my names Veronica and after helping take care of my grandfather who struggled fighting cancer I had decided my true passion and joy came from helping others. While in high school I decided to obtain my CNA/GNA license where I then got a job working in long term and rehabilitation care at a nursing home near my house. While I was very proud of my academics, I was most proud that I had received many awards such as Player of the Year while leading my field hockey team. After graduating I went on to play Division III Field Hockey while studying to be a naturopathic physician. Now I'm completing my schooling online while working in a dementia facility near Howard Community College. I find my love for sports is a great conversation topic with my patients as well as my ability to show respect and treat others with kindness comes in handy when working as a care manager.
