I love the interaction, the closeness and the level of respect I can give as an outsider. I have plenty of references. I am skilled with Medicare insurance and DME companies to get supplies so patients don't have to pay out of pocket so they can get what they need to stay home. I have worked with doctors and agencies to get care that is needed. My patients become family and I take care of them as such. I have worked with loved ones that have Alzheimer's, Dementia, ALS, and everything in between. I am very good at my job and I do very much take a lot of stress off the family members. I I am very good at my job and care deeply for the people I take care and treat them as I would my own. I have always made sure I am worth what I make. I love making a different in the lives of others.after taking care of my grand mother i developed the ability to care for people in need.When I came to the state in 1985 this was the job I acquired and I have being doing it ever since.I had worked in the nursing home setting,,hospital, and private homes. I have a positive impact on my client I smile a lot I'm open to communicate with my client, listened to there concern encouraged them making decisions if the can and to involve them in there care plan.i give ADL care, good hygiene,,cooked, do laundry, serve there meal but if client needs assistance with feeding I will do it. I do client shopping, take client out for recreation, make drs' appointment and take them to there appointment, medications remainder,or administered medications, reports any concerns to family member who is POA.It rewarding when you see your client condition is improving.Care giver job is rewording when you bond with your client and the built trust in you.

I became a caregiver because I am a compassionate , kind person who believes that anyone going through a tough journey deserves to have the best of care by someone who cares . I started as a CNA info 1994 working in a nursing home and the hospital. I went into this profession because i want to take care of people that can not take care of themselves and their families are unable to. I am very compassionate about the work that I do. Hi my names Veronica and after helping take care of my grandfather who struggled fighting cancer I had decided my true passion and joy came from helping others. While in high school I decided to obtain my CNA/GNA license where I then got a job working in long term and rehabilitation care at a nursing home near my house. While I was very proud of my academics, I was most proud that I had received many awards such as Player of the Year while leading my field hockey team. After graduating I went on to play Division III Field Hockey while studying to be a naturopathic physician. Now I'm completing my schooling online while working in a dementia facility near Howard Community College. I find my love for sports is a great conversation topic with my patients as well as my ability to show respect and treat others with kindness comes in handy when working as a care manager.

After helping take care of my oldest sister before she passed away I found that it is very rewarding to assist those who need help with daily needs. I enjoy getting to know the person I am taking care of; their background and life experiences. Learning from them is always fun. I love to motivate people; I had a client who would separate himself from the group, after finding out some of his interest I was able to get him to engage and socialize with others.
