The reason why I started becoming a caregiver was because my brother just got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I used to take care of him before he went into the nursing home. I'm very hard working & enjoy listening to my clients history, for example where they are from & what they used to do for a living. I would treat your loved one like I would my own with up most respect. I really enjoy getting to know my clients & I feel like they are part of my family. If I can make them smile & laugh then I know I'm doing my job because some of my clients don't have much family or friends & they get very lonely & depressed. My personal achievement is taking care of sick & elderly patients.

In a skilled nursing facility I got to meet and take care of so many amazing people. People who were long term ended up like a second family, even ones who were short term ended up like family and got treated as such. I pride myself in giving the best care I possibly can while respecting each of my residents as an individual person, learning their likes and dislikes, and respecting their opinions.
