Hi, My name is Margie. I am a middle age adult and grandmother of two beautiful girls. Just a little more about myself, I started caregiving when I was about 7 years old with my grandmother who was a nurturer within our community. We would attend to the elderly or the sick when needed, and my duties were to assist with ADL's, cleaning (as much as I could have done) or just getting them something to drink with their medication, inwhich were always appreciated by them. I knew then that helping someone in need would become a career. I became a Nursing Assistant in 1988 and Certified in 2004. I have mainly worked with homehealth and hospices agencies, however, these roles has taken me into skilled nursing homes as well as retirement homes. I am also experienced with working with Mental health patients and the Disability & Special Needs. I have experience with working with Alcohol & Abuse clients and I have worked with veterans. I am thoroughly comfortable with a variety of different clientele such as dementia and alzheimers clients and offers them the very best services possible. I like the day or night shift, and I am available for work overnights for 8-12 hour shifts either in a home or in a facility. Also available days but I do not burn the candle at both ends. The age of my clientele has ranged from 3 to 104. Wherever you are I can go to get to you. If you are in a facility and you want me there I can be there. I am a huge advocate for my clients and I have a zero tolerance policy for maltreatment or neglect. I also will not allow anyone to exploit or abuse a client without reporting it to the proper authorities. I have advanced training in Alzheimer's and dimentia as well as Occupational Therapy degree holder as of December 2019 I am currently taking on new clients.

I enjoy caring for others. I worked at my mothers daycare from the age of 14 and after I had my own children, in every aspect of the facility. I have cared for 2 elderly ladies, the latest, for almost 3 years. I am very nurturing, caring and patient. I am most proud of my ability to study and go online to find the source of something that was bothering her. I even diagnosed a condition she had due to her blindness, called Charles Bonnet Syndrome. I found a support group and connected her with a man who suffered the same syndrome and they became phone pals, talking weekly. This gave her such joy as she lived to be 96 and all of her friends had passed. When she had other issues, I'd go online and find out what we needed to adjust in her diet or use in bathing her to alleviate her discomfort. She was very appreciative and said I always was the one who would go extra lengths to make her comfortable.

I enjoy being a caregiver because I enjoy helping others that needs my help it's a blessing to help when others are in need. My personal achievement that I'm proud of I received 2 degrees I'm also a pharmacy Technician, and a Sterile processing , and I passed both classes with Honors.
