Caring for others has always been a passion of mine. Not only am I great at gaining the trust of others, but I am a very reliable and dependable person. I enjoy helping people live happier and less stressful lives. My favorite part about being a caregiver is seeing someone accomplish something he/she never could before and seeing that person feel proud because of it. A person achievement I am proud of is maintaining a level of patience that is very uncommon these days, especially when it comes to assist those with intellectual disabilities. I am a 25 year old young lady who enjoys the simple things in life like seeing the sun shine brightly everyday or spending time with family while watching a comedy movie and pigging out on pizza. I love the beach and reading. I currently reside in Summerville, SC but I am a California girl at heart. I am also a hard working student at Trident Technical College. I do not currently have any children but I do enjoy them. I sometimes smile uncontrollably so be careful because it can be contagious!

I became a Caregiver in response to a family member who needed constant care. Upon hospitalization, I began working at a Memory Care Center and found my passion and purpose. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Gero-Nueroscience specific to Dementia related illness. Current GPA 3.82. My thesis and area of focus is on the Development of Caregiver Resilience to enhance the lives of the Family Unit. I intend to grow further into Geriatric Case Management with a Focus in Family Support. I have experience in psychological, medical and ADL support.

What makes me a great caregiver i believe that being caregiver is what i was born to do. What made me become a caregiver i love working with people and i care about people well being. I've been a caregiver over twenty years. My greatest achievement are my daughters and grandchildren and the love for helping others.

I am patient and gentle with my clients, giving of services even going above and beyond my duties to the point where my employer has warned me not to go beyond my list of duties, but I don't mind. I've done work for hospice. my interest in care giving started with babysitting at the age of 15, since moving back to s.c my dear mother had heart surgery moved in to care for her for 3 mos. till she got up on her feet, that was rewarding in itself. Seeing my clients improve day by day makes me feel blessed I can help. Once had a client with an enormous bed sore, I did'nt quit till I got it down to the size of a dime, she had no wound nurse.
