I've worked in home health for 8 years and one thing I've found is you have to get down to their level as far as personality. My grandmother was a CNA in the hospital and ive always said I want to be a nurse. Seeing a smile on my patient's face or alook that that feel better but can't say it or the feeling of going home after work km knowing you helped somebody is all the enj ok payment in the world. I have since worked full time in a nursing home for two years and hospital for two years. In my free time i took up some home health jobs and did some hospice work as well. I love what I do, because not only am I there to care for someone I'm there to give them companionship. Someone to talk to. Someone to look forward to.
