I became a care giver because I love working with people especially the elderly. I love taking care of the elderly and I love the companionship. They have so many stories to tell and they still have so much to offer. They have sent their lives taking care of people and it's time for someone to care for them. My greatest personal achievement is obtaining my CNA license. It is the first thing I have started and finished since high school. Also, being a mother is another thing that is important to me. I was a critical care nurse for 12 years in Orlando Florida, I am retired . I took care of my father with cancer for 6 years and my mother who had cancer a stroke blind in one eye for years. I also help the Amish in Ohio with elderly care medical instruction and medications. I enjoy working with elderly people and being an individual with mild fibromyalgia myself I understand and can relate to a person experiencing pain and disability. My mother was a nurse and worked until her 70,s. I worked in the funeral industry 6 years after retiring from nursing. I attend church pre-Covid on sundays and enjoy my grown grandchildren here in Greenville. I prefer to work afternoons and evenings or weekends.
