Hello, I'm Jessica. I'm a caregiver (TNA from ACAHNCAL) currently working on my CNA Certification. I answered the call and became a professional caregiver during the quarantine. I had been a family caregiver to two members previously and all together, I have 10 years experience. Ive been told I have a servants heart and find I am happiest when making others satisfied. I'm a easygoing and energetic caregiver. Learning routines, meaning learning the way my patients/clients and theirs families would like things to be done is what made me a great caregiver. I love helping people who really can't help themselves feel a little better and feel comfortable is what attracted me to caregiving. I love taking care of people, providing them with better life choices because I'm there to care for them when other times they may be afraid to step too far out of their home, for fear they won't make it back inside or fear of the world and people in it. I want to be there to give them that security blanket and secure them in their daily activities because I know they like to gain that self independence and do things more independently without having to sit around and not get what they wanted done. It helps to promote longer health and happiness from within. Something that so many take for granted. I love caring for the elderly and those that are less fortunate.

I have been a private duty caregiver for 9 years. I care for my clients the way I care for my family members. I love being around the elderly and helping them care for themselves. I've cared for Dementia, Alzheimer's, Dialysis, and hospice care clients in Knoxville before relocating to Hendersonville. I was also a substitute teacher in a special needs classroom. I retired in 2014. I loved my job and my patients, but the drive to and from Nashville became so time consuming on top of a 10 hour day. I volunteer at the hospital because I really enjoy helping patients and missed being in the medical field. I received an award at my job for being an outstanding caregiver. I really love caring for people.

Unlike most "sitters", Anne took the time to work on games, puzzles, go over magazines with her, as well as move her into common areas which were calmer and more social than the memory care areas. She has been very caring and considerate of our needs as well as my mother's. Anne has only been available to us part-time but we would have hired her for full time in a heart-beat had she been available. She is excellent!
