As a great caregiver I try to remain very positive all the time. I am an honest and trust worthy person Being patient, responsible, dependable and have great communication skills with my patients is at the most important to me. As a caregiver I am very empathetic towards my patients and compassionate, it is what establishes a great relationship with each patient. Understanding the patients needs and desires to be able to take care of them efficiently is at the most important to their family and myself. It is what makes work environment healthier and understanding for patient and healthcare worker. I became a caregiver to be able to help those who cant help themselves, to try and help them build the confidence some may have lost during some difficult moments they must have gone through if it may have been through some therapy, or a on going treatment they are still facing. Offer those encouraging words we all need to hear from time to time, show them some one cares if they have no one else to turn too. Being a caregiver gives me great feeling knowing that I have made a difference in someones life. When I see a patient has recovered more that 50 percent it gives me great joy to know I have made a difference in someones life. To have a patient to being speechless to even a good morning is a huge difference to me. Its what makes me want to go to work every day and know I will continue to make a difference in someones life.

Hello, my name is Cheyenne and I have been a caregiver for going on 8 years. I have experience with in-home care, facility-care and hospital based care. Through Baptist and Methodist hospitals I am trained to properly care for clients that have dementia, alzheimers, schizophrenia, multiple disabilitating bone disorders and post-op care. To properly and safely care for your loved ones in their time of need, I am also CPR certified through the American Heart Association as well Stroke certified in the evnt of an emergency I can act fast. Through hospital experience I can verify when an abnormality is occuring with the client so I am able to act fast, as well as having training for changing, bathing, toileting assistance. No task is too big or small for me! Client care is priority as awell as their comfort and satisfaction.

First of all I want to say that most of the experience I have related to this type of work is due to the fact that I took care of my parents during their illnesses until the last day of their lives. apart from other works that also had similar to this. The most important thing is the patience that you must have with the elderly, respect is another very important thing. When a person ages and his physical and mental capacities diminish, it is easy to fall into despair. I think I have the necessary passion to take care of your relative. Hello, Caregiver is an option I was opened about because of love and care is one of my expertise and what better way then to show an elder. I use to be a caregiver for my father who has diabetes, and an amputation on his feet. I have experience what it is to care with love. I feel I have met the requirements to be a caregiver.

I'm very enthusiastic about helping older people. I've always helped my grandparents whenever they're going through tough times or need help. Recently, I helped my grandma cure her foot. She had stepped on a nail and she went to the doctor. Furthermore, the doctor told her that she had to be treated at home every week to prevent an amputation since she's diabetic. I would go every Wednesday to be with her and help her heal her foot by cleaning the wound and applying medicine to it. This made me realize how much I was interested in being a caregiver because older people struggle to do certain tasks that are easier for the younger generation, such as showering, cooking, getting out of bed and washing clothes. I know that one day I will grow old as well and more than likely there's a possibility I will need help to complete similar tasks like those. I want to be able to help older people and make them realize how special they are and that they're not alone.

I have been a CNA for 20 years with experience in hospital, nursing home, and home health settings.
