I feel what makes me a great caregiver is I have been on the other side of the caregiver/patient bond. I took care of my Father for 2 years before he passed away and I feel that everyone should be treated with that respect and dignity they deserve. I love being a caregiver because I want to make a difference in someone's life and this is one of the best ways to do so.

What makes me a great caregiver? I am extremely patient with people. I always lead with love and before I do anything I talk to the client and let them know I'm only here to help. I build bonds quickly and treat them as I did my own parents.

I have always cared for people I love to take care of them be there to make their day I am a caring person have patients to listen to what they have to say I go beyond my job.

I worked with him for 3 years. We did a lot of activities: Went out to fantastic dinners, sight see, traveled to his childhood neighborhood , met with his former employee's & friends. I also, was his wife's caretaker. Alzheimer's was her cruel demise. I was with them to the end. I also, assistant a lovely lady for 2 years. She was an early onset Alzheimer victim, also. I was with my Lady to her passing I will travel. I love what I do and I strive for quality in life . Reading or Audio Books, Music, Movies, Conversation, Outings, I am Open for all Activities ( as appropriate) . I am a smoker but respectful with it. I am working on this bad habit. I am an experienced care giver with 20 years of experience. I started taking care of patients when i was 17 years old, My mother was a certified nurse aide and i wanted to follow in her footsteps. I also had a son who was born 3 months early and i spent 5 month in the neonatal intensive care unit. i always wanted to make a difference in someones life.
