I was the president in high school of the nursing program club, I went to nationals for nursing, and I was the battalion commander of the jrotc program. I currently work at life care. I started with the State of California taking certification classes to help someone needing double hip replacements and couldn't walk and was recovering from breast cancer. Today, she is a walking survivor! Next I joined Phoenix Health Care and took classes on immobile patients such as transferring and changing bedding. I was sent to several different situations including a hospice patient. My last position was with an elderly woman in her home that had several serious issues, one of which was COPD. It became a joyful experience when, after working with her diet and routines, that she actually became symptom free and actually wanted to participate in activities again. Caregiving became a lifestyle for me and I was honored to be able to help in any way that was needed because I could.

I'm 19 old and have always lived around and with family and friends with various health problems. Throughout my life I have grown a fondness of the work that caregivers do to help those that need it. Though my love for people and wanting to help the community I became a caregiver. I am a reliable individual who is organized and trained to multitask. I am proficient in most computer programs and am a quick learner. I have experience working with the elderly and those with developmental disabilities. I have just recently graduated an 80-hour Certified Nurse Aide program here in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I have completed clinicals and am looking for an entry level position that will allow me to excel within the company. I am scheduled to take my state licensing test on December 13, 2019.
