I am a Licensed vocational Nurse (LVN) and a certified nursing assistant ( CNA) as well . I work with people with different types of disabilities and injures . Why a caregiver it has always been in the family the nourishment and ability to help each other. First of all I must say that since I have been a caregiver I have learned a lot of things as far as being patient, how to truly love and care about someone , because when you are with someone for a long period of time you really get to know that person and become so close to them and once they are gone it really gets to your heart . I have been a care giver for over 30 years now. It started when I was 17 years old working in a neighborhood coffee shop that seniors dined at regularly. I would overhear them speaking of tasks they could not take care of around their house by themselves. That's when I started offering to come over after work to help them. Then sometimes a husband would come in without a wife or a wife without a husband and I would ask where the other one was, they would reply they were sick at home. I would then asked if I could do anything or check in on them and they really appreciated it. Eventually I gave up my job at the coffee shop and became a full time caregiver. I love working with people while it makes a difference in their life.

I genuinely care about people, have an outgoing personality, love helping people. I'm also trustworthy, reliable and honest. I create recipes and cook meals for my clients, drive clients to appointments, parks, grocery shopping. Also, I provide genuine and caring support and companionship for my clients while keeping them safe. What attracted me, is seeing how elderly people don't get a lot of support and attention from their family in some cases. Also, all they want and need is to know that they are loved and valued. I like to bring light to their world when it may seem like they don't have it. It's very rewarding for me to know that I did something to bring the people I care for joy and good energy. And seeing them laugh and smile makes me smile. Proud of the fact that years later, I still get calls from clients family members requesting my services for other family members or friends, or just to say hello. For my services, rates are as follow: $50.00 per hour Note: If driving for more than 30 minutes, add $5 to hourly rate. If crossing bridges, add $10 to hourly rate. If weekends are requested, add $ 10 to hourly rate. If requested for driving clients to appointments, add $10 to hourly rate. Note: Not interested in any assignments paying less than what's stated on my profile moving forward.
