Hello, my name is Xochi, a flower in the Aztec language. However, my middle name is Amy, which is easier to remember. I have been told often that I have a big heart and compassion for others. I have been previously in the social work field for the last twenty-five years. But what came next has impacted my life and led me to the decision I am much happier in the caregiver field. I was raised by my single mother and grandmother, who passed away a year from one another in 2019 and 2020. I had the privilege to care for and be there for them both, which I see as a personal achievement. Then the light bulb went on, and I never returned to my previous job.
