I have more then 5 years of experience working as a CNA and a live in caregiver for home care agencies and have worked in nursing/retirement homes as well. I grew up with my grandparents and naturally we take care of our own as it is a cultural thing. I love being around seniors and assist in whatever way I can as they remind me so much of my grandparents who lovingly took cared of us. What attracted me to be a caregiver is when my grandmother got very sick and I was the only one willing to help her for 2 years. I got really into it and enjoyed what I did. I have 4 years experience with the I.H.S.S. program and 1 year in a assisted living facility, Sierra Manor which specialized in Alzheimer and Dementia patients. Within a short time I was promoted to a Med Tech, a position in which I totally fell in love with.
