became a caregiver because i worked at hospitals and so many of the elderly patients when going home had no one to care for them at home. so i decided and go out in that field of in home care and have been doing it for the last 22 yrs. what i like about being a caregiver is the fact that you work one on one and get to know the clients needs very well and i am not in a time clock or just a number as to working in facilities. I've always had a heart for caring for others. It is such a wonderful feeling knowing I can be of help to those of need. I have 10yrs of experience in the medical field. I've started with helping my grandmother as a little girl such as brushing her hair on a daily, picking out her clothes, to then giving her, her medications. I cared for several other family members until I decided to then move on to working in a doctor's office as a medical/billing assistant which included me rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting the doctor's, submitting billing, and most importantly building friendly and trusting relationships.
