Nursing is a calling, God placed it in my heart.I nurse as if I'm doing it unto the Lord I absolutely LOVE what I do & I'm so blessed through it.I've been voted the best nurse at my facility by my patients.I learn my patients, their individual needs, specific likes/dislikes and personality. I've been a nurse sine 2002 I am & will always be my patient's advocate.Insisting & ensuring they get the highest quality care.I'm very skilled, kind, patient, compassionate, giving & caring. My desire is to touch lives & improve the quality of life for those needing nursing care.I graduated nursing school with a 4.0, finished all but 7 months of RN school & then life happened & financially wasn't able to finish. Now unfortunately many of my classes have expired, but I'm ok with that lvn/rn just long as I'm nursing. I'm a 34yo mother to the BEST 16yo in the WORLD & very happily married woman.I'm originally from GA & I've got the southern drawl to prove it.I love animals of all kinds & believe they're a gift from God. I'm saved by grace through faith (thank you Jesus), I'm spiritual not religious. I'd never push my beliefs on you. What makes me a great caregiver is that I listen and watch my clients. I may close attention to small details because at times that's all that matters. What attracted me to become a caregiver is the way I was raised to care for people who are in need and may not have anyone else. I was taught to treat and show respect to all kinds of humanity regardless of the way the look,talk,and dressed. A personal achievement that I am proud of is, A church member, at a church that I use to attend, had surgery. This was my first eye opener to going to school and becoming a caregiver. I really enjoyed helping her get back to living. I'm so glad that I had this opportunity, because not only did I like helping, I felt it gave me a since of direction. MY compassion and empathy for people in need of that extra special care because of limited mobility and age make me want to help. My caregiving came from my mom who was a private caregiver who gave her all to her patients and I watched her and decided then I wanted to be a caregiver because of the love and care she had for these people.
