Hello my name is Ta'Diazah Williams and I have been a CNA since 2016. I am currently 21 years old and working towards my bachelors of science in respiratory therapy at FAMU. I am a young woman who loves working and loves taking care of others. I have a kind, giving and calming spirit about me that makes me special. I take pride in my work and treat each patient/resident, encounter with nothing but love and the upmost respect. My mom has been a nurse my whole life and watching her growing up as a child pushed me to want to follow in her footsteps. As I got older I began to become fascinated with tracheostomy's and the indications and contraindications and I took the proper steps to achieve that goal at 18 and now I am 21 with only a year left and I will have my bachelor's! That is my personal achievement that I am proud of.

I started caregiving to my grandfather in 2018. I took care of him until he passed in June of 2020. I done basically everything for him, cooked , bathed , ran errands , clean the house , fed the animals , wound care, doctor appointments , transfers , and etc. After he passed I started working at Georgia living senior care and I worked for seven months there. I currently took a part time job offer with home instead and I'm looking for a second part time job. I am very understanding, loving, compassionate, honest, and trustworthy. When it comes to the care of others I take it very seriously, as if it was my own loved one. Working in this field I have learned that 90% of the elderly have no one and there caregivers are the only people they see and get to interact with daily. I love to make an impact on everyone I encounter, even if it's just by putting a smile on there face. I enjoy being able to help and motivated the elderly by assisting them with there ADLS. I love each and everyone of my patients.

what makes me a great caregiver to me is that i have a very strong passion for the job, its not just a job to me its something i love and enjoy doing. the fact that I am able to help someone with daily duties and make it easier for them make my heart warm i have children of my own so i understand the process of not being able to help yourself i just love being a caregiver for the residents for kids its my passion and something i see myself growing old doing. i became a care giver because of my mom. she opened up her own daycare center and id help out with everything's down to changing kids diapers. soon after high school my grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer, it took a a lot for me to except the fact that she was ill but it didn't stop me from wanting to help her as much as i could shortly she passed and that's what kind of got my eyes open in senior care i then went on to job core and completed my trade in home health aide and from there its been something iv been doing since. i consider it my gift to help those who still have time to enjoy what life they do have left. the one thing i like about being a care giver is building a connection with my residents iv had a few pass away on me but i still had that connection something i can carry on with me knowing i changed someones life in some way even the smallest way even if they don"t remember to me I am helping them and to me I am changing a life. a personal achievement to me is just growing mentally in this field of work cause it isn't easy but staying focus and being patient with residents is something iv grown to control and for that i feel was one of my most personal achievements.
