I have worked as a Caregiver for over 15 years. Went to college for LPN. I enjoy working to help & care for people, it is very satisfying to me, I feel it stems from growing up in a large family. I have three grown children & care for three of my Grandchildren full time & love every minute of it, they all are loving, kind, generous, & intelligent for their ages. My personality traits are what makes me a very compassionate care giver, I'm understanding I don't get upset easily and I'm a great listener. The reason I became a health care giver is because my grandfather was put on hospice care and I would help the hospice nurses care for him being only 8 years old I seen the care he was given and I wanted to return that love to others. My favorite part about being a care giver is being able to get to know my patients really build a bond with them. I love giving care to others and being able to make a difference in their lives . One personal achievement of mine is receiving my Certified Nursing Assistant License it was the happiest day of my life.

What makes me a great caregiver is the passion I e towards helping others. I became a caregiver because my nana passed away leaving my special needs cousin for me. Her name is Patricia and she had a long list of diagnoses. At first I thought that I would be overwhelmed but I wasn't. Prior to living with my cousin, I kinda grasped how she wanted her food to be cooked, when she wanted to go shopping and where, and how she liked her room to smell! She is a smart cookie and I admirered her sweet and kind heart. What I like about being a caregiver is the fact that I get to help others when they really need it. A personal achievement of mine is gaining more patience. She taught me that being patient means less mistakes and I have carried that with me forever.

I have been working as a caregiver since I was 19 years old and I am now 27. I took care of my grandfather who had ALS, my great grandmother with Alzheimer's, and my moms dad who had liver disease. I did home healthcare last year and enjoyed it but the company was very unprofessional. I am planning on going back to college in a year or so to finish my nursing career as a registered nurse. The medical field is my passion and has been since I was young. I am very dedicated and will always give the best care possible. I treat the patients I take care of as I would my own family and I get attached to people very easy. I have a big heart which I feel like you have to have to be in this profession. I want to keep growing and will never stop doing what I love. I would be a great candidate for any caregiver position because I've had experience with almost every type of disease or sickness.

My grandmother was in a nursing home and I liked how they took care of her and I decided I wanted to care for people....I have meet various people and I enjoy every moment of caring for my patients. I have worked long term .assisted living .home health.worked with the develpomently delayed for over 20 years ..worked with infant that had a heart condition ..my greatest achievement is being a CNA. I love working and helping others that can't care for themselves..I saw my grandmother in a a nursing home they were professional but some lacked heart I wanted the people I care for to know I cared family isn't alwAys available to visit it helps to have some one that cares..
