What I like about being a Caregiver is the diversity of my clients, everyone has a different story and background. I love to listen about their lives, accomplishments, family and loved ones. It's like watching a Classic tale of another time and these stories become part of my life, parts not to be forgotten. I love to put not only my heart into my work, but my sensitivity, compassion, laughter,attentiveness and honest character as well. Why did you become a Caregiver? My mother lost about 70% of her stomach from cancer and was in need of a Caregiver. Putting my personal needs and wants aside to take care of my mother during a time when she was at her lowest point (emotionally, physically, mentally & financially), due to cancer. My personality traits are what makes me a very compassionate care giver, I'm understanding I don't get upset easily and I'm a great listener. The reason I became a health care giver is because my grandfather was put on hospice care and I would help the hospice nurses care for him being only 8 years old I seen the care he was given and I wanted to return that love to others. My favorite part about being a care giver is being able to get to know my patients really build a bond with them. I love giving care to others and being able to make a difference in their lives . One personal achievement of mine is receiving my Certified Nursing Assistant License it was the happiest day of my life.
