I am a woman with a lovely heart. I love to assist elderly/disabilities. I want to see them happy. I worked as a caregiver for 8yrs and 10 yrs as a direct support professional.

From my experience of 7 years, working with other professional caregivers, clients, and families, the characteristics of me being a good caregiver would include: Demonstrating empathy and compassion for the senior, Supporting the patient's family members, who may be struggling to cope with their loved one's decline, Committing to professional growth and continuing education, Being reliable, including arriving for work on time and fulfilling all duties in a timely manner, Respecting patients' privacy and dignity, Exhibiting a positive demeanor and kind tone of voice, Being considerate and kind when working with the patient, Being mindful of the fact that I'm working in a senior's or their family's, private home. Using good communication skills with both the patient and the family, Having a well-kept personal appearance, including following professional dress code, Acting as a personal supporter for my client and their family during difficult times :)

I became a caregiver because I have always has an urge for helping people who truly need it the most, i am open, friendly, caring, kind, and that's what makes me a great caregiver. I enjoy being able to bring joy and happiness into their lives, being able to listen to their stories, and most of all knowing i am someone who they can trust and depend upon when necessary.

A personality trait that has helped me become a great caregiver is patience. As a young teen I got to see caregiving first hand. My mother (a nurse ) , care for my great aunt and great grandmother. Watching her care for them and the manny ways they embraced her is the very reason I love what I do ! Personally the thing that I enjoy most about caregiving is the companionship and wonderful stories. Meeting new people and seeing life from their point of view . I love the fact that I'm helping someone continue to live life independently no matter the circumstances. One personal achievement I am proud of is that I recently decided to go back to school online to further my education. I'd say it's going pretty great

My name is kristina and ive been a caregiver for just over 8 years. I have worked with a range of different people including children and adults. Ive did Alzheimer's and dementia and trachs and vents. Ive worked with feeding tubes and bearthing machines as well. I first became interested in caregiving when i was a kid. I watched my mom be a cna for 18years before becoming a nurse. I love helping others and making then feel special in their day to day life. I am a hard working single mother of 4 looking to make a big life change and come to Arizona from iowa so that the father of my children can help raise them. Im currently lookin for jobs so that i have something lined up before arriving. I am very flexible and wil consider offers for overnights and days but not 2-10 as i have children in school and i tried 2-10 but i never got to see my littles. I love being a cna and i cant wait to start nursing school!

i became a registered medical assistant because I wanted to help people and found the medical field very interesting. I have worked with a variety of people from the very young to the very old. I have worked in urgent care clinics, assisted living homes, and Alzheimer's/ Dementia units Since October 2013 I have been a full time live in personal caregiver to my grandmother due to her cancer. I enjoy working as a medical assistant and would like to continue doing so as a personal caregiver. I am very proud of the fact that I have graduated in my field with Honors, a 3.96 GPA, and received 100% attendance awards every semester.

My name is Charlotte Findley I'm 54 yrs old. I worked many years in health care. My aunt, who was Director of Nursing at a Care Center took me to work with her when I was 12 yrs old. I fell in love with the company of older people. The stories and wisdom I would crave from there on. I started volunteering at the center. My aunt said I added a little joy to their lives helping them but really it was my life that an abundance of joy did they add. Those are days I will always be greatful to have had. I found my calling , Caregiving!!! I had a small in home daycare in my early 20s. (back when i could keep up with several whipper snappers -those were the days lol) I have worked as a CNA in Care Centers. I also worked as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and as a Companion/Homemaker for folks in their homes. I worked as a Residential Assistance Tech (RAT) ingroup home settings, assisting those with intellectual different-abilities live as independently as possible. Though I didn't make a fortune money wise I certainly feel very rich with many wonderful memories and friendships Ive gained along the way. I haven't worked for quite sometime . I spent the years since being officially employeed helping care for my little sister who was born with special needs and was total care from the time she was born 1992 until her passing in 2014 . I cared for my dad through his experience with esophalgial cancer that later went to his brain. He had two surgeries, chemo and radiation . He peacefully transitioned, as he refered to it, at my home in Feb 2015. I then focused on caring for myself and home. I was given one of the most precious gifts of all in May of 2021 my grandson Oliver Thomas!! What a joy grandparenthood is!! I am ready to get back to working outside the home again and am looking forward to meeting new people, learning new things, hearing new stories /personal histories and helping folks stay safely in their homes and as independant as possible.

Right now I am a stay at home but I am looking into getting into a rewarding field of work again. I have always loved helping people and am excited to start working again. I love loving on others and making them feel like they have a friend.

M y name is Tara Powell and i have been taking care of elderly people since i was 15 and im 40 today. I am a people person and very, very patient. I love taking care of people period this is my calling, i am very kind and funny, and once again patient. I am very sympathetic towards people need. I am very honest and trustworthy. I will always go above and beyond,i dont treat poeple like a paycheck i treat them like a human being that depends on me to take care of them.
