My Name is Pearlie, I have always had the caretaker trait since I was around 10 years old. I was the grandkid that wanted to stay in the house and help my grandmother take care of my granddad and the person that want a babysitting job in the summer to help out the family. It make me feel good to do for others when the can't or have no one to help them complete their daily living duties. I'm a medical assistant and Certified Nursing Assistant and would like to get back into the CNA side to have more hands on taking care of people again that is my passion.

Hello there! My name is Michelle and I have been caring for someone since I was in the 10th grade. (Years ago) I moved in with my grandmother, she had been a widow for about 3 years. She was suffering from depression, breathing issues and I know many more health issues that later claimed her life. Her living conditions weren't the best and she totally refused to go to the doctor. I arranged for her to move into an apartment which she enjoyed for about 2 years. I never thought that I would be working in this field. I originally went to school for administration careers. But to see their faces light up when you please them is why I continue to work in this field. Plus I have the satisfaction of knowing that care was administered properly. I have worked with the elderly, as well as, individuals with special needs. Very willing and ready to meet your families needs.

I became a caregiver because it fufills my heart, mind , and soul. I get great satisfaction knowing that I can help keep a person safely and comfortably in their home. Meeting new people and their families has given me a lot of knowledge to use for the next job I am fortunate to receive. My years of experience have taught me to have patience and compassion for each person because everybody is different in their own way. I have raised an incredible teenager who is thriving in life. One of the things I am most proud of is that I took care of my mother who was dying of lung cancer. I was the best advocate for her that I could be. I kept her safe and comfortable to live out the last days of her life. I have done a little of everything in the medical field. I have worked in the ER, assisted living, home health and hospice and live in private duty. When I am not working I enjoy reading, camping, and spending time with my family.

I feel like what makes me a great caregiver is I put my clients or residents first. I care for them like I care for my own children. I chose to go into caregiving because at the end of the day I know I made a difference in their day making life a bit easier for them and giving them a better outlook on life knowing somebody is there for them. It's very hard for me to leave my residents because they have became part of my family, my family knows them all and even my children love my residents and my residents and coworkers love my family as well. I feel like I mainly chose this path because I wanted to be able to help others as much as others have helped and blessed me. If I can do it for my own family why not share my care with others who need it as well. It warms my soul to see my family and the people I support smile and feel loved because they know I truly care.

I became a caregiver because I love helping people. I like being able to help the elderly live with some independence in their life. One of my achievements was to receive an A in my CNA class. I am a responsible person. I would like to add that I have already had a fingerprinted background check. I am on the Illinois health registry. I have my current CPR as well.

I have been a caregiver for a little over two years now and have learned a lot. I have had experience in a nursing home, a hospital, and a group home. When I first started out I was very unsure about my job. I knew that I wanted to help people in need but didn't know if this was going to be the job for me. The longer I am in the medical field the more I love my job. I put 100% into my job and take care of my clients/residents. I am loyal, trustworthy, and very dependable. I have been raised to always treat others like you would want to be treated, respect everyone, and be kind. I remember while I was working in the nursing home I loved talking with the residents, they had a lot of cool fun stories of their lives. In all I am very compassionate about my job. At the end of the day it puts a smile on my face knowing I have made someone smile today.

I am very Maticulous w everything.. Longevity, dependable, reliable, outgoing and a over achevier. Giving my heart to those who need it most ..putting a smile on the face of a patient and giving the family the stress less part of not having to take care of there family but enjoy what time is left w them.My most rewarding goal would be meeting lots of diff people from diff backgrounds and hearing all there stories good and bad !!
